One technology implementation issue that I think is important is cyberbullying. Students sometimes use technology in negative ways, and this can make others feel unsafe in the classroom environment. To address this issue, I would set clear expectations about technology use and make sure students know there are consequences for using devices to harm others. I would also include digital citizenship lessons that show students how to use technology responsibly and respectfully, so they understand the impact their actions can have on others.
I have learned about copyright and fair use in school before, but I did not fully understand how important it is until recently. As a teacher, I would need to make sure I only use materials that I either created myself or that are allowed under fair use. I would also teach students how to respect the work of others when they are making their own projects, since copying without giving credit is not acceptable. This is something I still want to learn more about because I want to make sure I follow the rules correctly and also teach my students to do the same.
From working on the Newsletter Design assignment, I learned new skills with formatting, organizing information, and making the content look clear and easy to read. In the future, I could improve my newsletter by adding more visuals and making the layout more eye catching while still keeping it professional. These skills will help me in my future career because I will need to create classroom newsletters, presentations, and other materials to communicate with parents and students. Knowing how to design something that is both informative and visually appealing will be useful for my future teaching occasions.
